About Coco Xpress
Coco Xpress are an authentic hot Latin band with a generous helping of spice! With Salsa, Merengue, Lambada, Cumbia and more - representing all the popular Latino rhythms and countries, from Cuba to Colombia via Santo Domingo - this band will guarantee an excellent night's entertainment, for top dancers and left-footed tropical party-goers alike!
Coco Xpress view on-stage presentation and lively performance as just as important as talented musicianship. The band features Latino singer Guillermo with not only a rich voice but also an entertaining manner and some hilarious routines. Also in the front line is female alto sax/flute player Nina - a strong musician and smooth dancer - to make the band as easy on the eyes as they are on the ears! Our quoted price is for a five-piece line-up which is rounded off with Rivera swinging on bass guitar, Dominican, Wilson "El Diablo", a maniacal devil at the piano and Colombian, Emerys, on conga drums. The band can also perform as a four-piece band without congas or as a six-piece band with the addition of trumpet.
Coco Xpress are equally suitable for parties, weddings and corporate events as they are for full-on Salsa dance nights, and will bring a repertoire of songs suitable for whichever occasion. They can also provide CD background music between sets, professional dancers or displays, dance classes, DJs and other ideas to make the evening swing. Coco Xpress normally play three 35-minute sets or two 50-minute sets.
Coco Xpress have performed in the UK and all over the world for many prestigious clients and venues including in Egypt at a wedding for the Nasser presidential family, parties for British Airways and The Financial Times, appearances at the Dubai Festival, Oxford and Cambridge Summer Balls, Christmas and New Year Races at Kempton Park, The Royal Festival Hall and National Theatre Christmas Parties, South Bank Summer Concerts, Kensington Roof Gardens, Kenwood House, Millennium Dome, Tower of London, The Grosvenor House Hotel and various castles, battleships and museums to name but a few!
