About DJ Simon Jay
Function Junction was tipped off about Simon Jay by one of our best-selling bands. They found themselves working with Simon at an event and got on to us to say that this was one guy we had to take on to our books.
What makes Simon such a great DJ? Well, most importantly Simon is a first class singer and musician, releasing numerous electronic and dance tracks over the years. He also prides himself on creating a superb party atmosphere and building a good rapport with clients and guests - in fact it’s not uncommon for Simon to escape the confines of the DJ booth and join the action on the dance floor!
Next, Simon has over ten years of experience having spun crowds into submission at weddings, parties and corporate functions at prestigious venues including The Silver Barracuda (Thames boat), The Mayfair Hotel, The Hyatt Regency, HQS Wellington (luxury ship), The Grosvenor, The Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Sir Christopher Wren Hotel & Spa, The Dulwich Picture Gallery, The Tower Brasserie, and The Big Chill Bar.
Add to that, the fact that Simon comes armed with a wide and diverse arsenal of tunes from the 50s to the latest chart toppers, from funk, soul and disco through to pop, rock, hip-hop, house and electro. So he will always have something to get even the most demanding audiences on to the dance floor.
If that wasn’t enough, Simon is also one of the few DJs on the circuit still using vinyl to mix tunes. You get much more of a performance than other DJs who often just turn up with a laptop and a mouse! Using the very latest, state-of-the-art DJ software and hardware the turntables are hooked up to an Apple MacBook Pro laptop allowing access to a virtually limitless number of tunes as well a host of special effects used by top club DJs.
Our quoted price is for Simon to arrive no earlier than 6.00 pm and to finish at midnight unless otherwise stated. His standard high quality audio and visual package will cater for crowds of up to 300, but extra equipment can be provided for an additional fee for larger events.
