About The Sparks
The Sparks are a top professional four-piece covers band, comprising lead vocals/bass/rhythm guitar, lead guitar/vocals, keyboard/bass/vocals and drums. With a reputation for high energy, up-tempo entertainment, they are equally suitable for corporate functions, balls, weddings, parties and student events. The most consistent remark the band receive is that clients have never seen so many people up and dancing at a live show. When this is combined with the stunning sound of the band, tight vocal harmonies, the professional look and a repertoire that has never failed, it’s easy to see why The Sparks have caused such a stir at every show they've played.
This band have teetered on the edge of stardom, with two former members now part of number one chart band The Feeling. Between them, the current members have played on major European tours with top chart pop acts, appeared on TV and performed in shows in London and at the Edinburgh Festival. TV appearances include Top Of The Pops, GMTV, Rise, CD:UK, T4, The Saturday Show, Later With Jools Holland, Party In The Park Live, The Richard Blackwood Show and BBC Hall Of Fame. As a record deal has eluded them, the band have now decided to commit themselves to their function work, to which they bring some true star quality. The record industry’s loss is definitely our gain.
The band can provide background music on CD and also have their own high-quality PA and lighting system. They strongly recommend a performance made up of two one-hour sets although this can be extended for an additional fee.
Price from: £2,250
The Sparks are London-based. See Pricing for details of travel costs, etc
What People Say:
"They really caught the mood and got the whole room up and dancing."
Richard Simpson - daughter's 18th birthday party - Buckinghamshire - December 2013
"Jenn and I had a wonderful wedding and the band were fantastic. We have nothing but good things to say about the band. In the lead up to the wedding you made sure that all our favourite songs would be played, and went the extra mile to integrate the band's set with the dance performance by our cousins. On the night, all of our guests - young and old - were coming up to us saying how much they enjoyed the music, and the atmosphere that they created was just incredible. From both of us, please accept our sincerest thanks for helping make our night so special."
Jon Allcock - wedding reception - Herefordshire - August 2013
"Just to follow up on my previous email I would like to thank you for all of your work in the build up to the BG Challenge. The party was indeed a great night, and much of this was to do with how good the band were. Think it is fair to say you are a firm favourite among the Challenger Team!"
Greg Talbot - IMG Challenger World party - Swansea - July 2013
"We had the band play for our wedding and they were AMAZING! We couldn't have asked for a better band, we left the play list pretty much up to them and there was a great mix of old and new, just what we wanted. Professional, spectacular musicians with great personalities... DEF DEF DEF recommend these guys."

Tom Houston - wedding reception - Hertfordshire - June 2012
"Owen and the boys on the day were superb. They more than justified the money spent on them, and from my conversation on what we wanted before the wedding with Owen in regards to Brit Pop and Indie, they absolutely nailed it on the day and all I have heard is amazing feedback from all our guests. Their playlist was just we wanted, Julie and myself rarely left the dance floor and it was full for the whole evening... I haven't yet stopped recommending them to people and a number of our guests have already asked for their details."
Danny Sims - wedding reception - Cambridgeshire - August 2011

"We have to say the band were everything we were hoping for and more. We were so impressed that the entire set list was played to an equally high standard. Frequently you imagined you were almost listening to the original artists themselves (or versions just as good as the originals). And Owen's voice was so incredibly versatile. Most of all we and all our guests had such a fantastic evening dancing to the band and some commented that they were the best band they'd heard in years. We could not recommend them highly enough to others."

"The Bright Sparks really were just that - fab fab fab ….they were absolutely great - and as they may feed back to you, those Botswana people sure know how to party! I didn't even have time to meet or greet or say goodbye! The weather was absolutely ghastly - but hope they got fed and watered. We were all really thrilled and two of the catering staff had to be told off for dancing with glasses in their hands!!!"
