THE GROOVE REGULATORS
About
The Groove Regulators combine the best of classic funk, soul and disco from the 60s, 70s and 80s along with some cool recent hits so there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Youth does not mean inexperience, as this young, fresh and funky band have been filling dance floors up and down the country for over ten years.
The band can perform as a five-piece consisting of female vocals, bass, guitar/rapping, keyboard/sax/backing vocals and drums, but they can also go up to an eight-piece by adding a second lead vocalist , guitar, sax or percussion. The line-up featured on our demo tracks is seven-piece including the second lead vocalist.
Members of this young and talented group have played alongside Roots Manuva, Boney M and De La Soul and between them they also hold a clutch of degrees from the Academy of Contemporary Music. Whether it be on a boat on the Thames or up a mountain in Scotland, this band are guaranteed to get the party started, so get on your dancing shoes!
The band usually play two one-hour sets but times can be altered to suit the function. They have a professional PA and lighting system and provide recorded music in their breaks. A laptop DJ service, acoustic reception music or an afternoon jazz set are all available for an additional fee.
